Um... I received this email and I am trying to figure out if it is a hoax or if this may be a reality. I hardly ever use the R200 note so R500 will be an interesting one.
It wouldn't be too terrible considering it would still be half the value of a $100 bill. Just saying.
Are we going the same way Zimbabwe is? Nah.
I guess we'll find out with the Budget Speech from the newly wed Trevor Manual.

well it would come in handy for me, I only use cash so sometimes I can't close my wallet and have to take notes out.
Interesting Anon... I normally don't carry a lot of cash on me due to crime.
Well I do, my ex used to always nag me about it but it's no big deal. Never had a credit card in my life, never had a store card, have never bought anything on credit, and I've never had a bill addressed to myself. Only problem is I wanted to get a library card recently but I have no bills in my name. It's like I'm invisible, hah hah, if you google me there's not a single entry.
I very seldom keep large amounts of money with me - scared I become another statistic..LOL!
muggers don't have x-ray vision, so they don't know how much cash you have on you (unless someone sees you open your wallet in a shop) so you could be a statistic for R50 etc
Very true Anon! Last week a lady who works with me was hijacked and at the time she was carrying R8000 to go and deposit at the bank. Guess it boils down to wrong place at the wrong time :-)
