Bad luck babe!

I'm not really sure what my take is on LUCK.

I believe you create your own luck but also believe you have an element of luck too.
I'll say: Gosh I was lucky to escape such a terrible accident, but I wouldn't say I'm lucky to get a promotion when I worked hard etc.
Yes, I'm a firm believer in The Secret and that was before the popularity phase! I have always believed you need to be positive and believe in yourself. I have had this attitude since I was little.

Anyways, that's besides the point...I know this woman. She is strong and wonderful, but she is probably the unluckiest person around.
I honestly believe she needs to be blessed or cleansed (whatever makes her comfortable) because she is either cursed or has so much negative energy around her it's insane.

She got engaged to this guy even though his ex was 7 months preggers. She then fell preggers herself. They got secretly married and seem to be happy. However, she needs a restraining order against his ex because she keeps rocking up with baby and throws bricks through windows etc etc...
In the interim, they found out that he has a brain tumour. She is 7 months pregnant. He is being induced into a coma and they operate on him next week.
In the meantime, she has been rushed off to get her appendix removed. Not an easy task when you're pregnant. She's being operated on tonight.
Oh and she's being sued.

I just cannot believe how much one person is going through and I really don't mean to sound insensitive but it makes your and my problems seem tame in comparison.

I really hope things get better because it makes you wonder how many things someone can take!

it don't rain but it pours! I tend to find that when something goes wrong, everything else goes wrong too. I guess in terms of the Secret you're thinking about how bad everything is and thus attracting more bad things your way...

Totally agreed Zuzula! This poor woman is going through such a bad spell and she is really lovely...doesn't deserve ANY of this!!

Thanks for popping by x

Yeah, sucks to be her...but...it could always be worse. You could, say, be born in a 3rd-world country starving with AIDS to a mother with no money, no work, and no place to live. Your life is pretty much guaranteed to suck hard from that point on, and there isn't really anything you could ever do about it. That's mainly why even though shit happens in life, I actually feel quite blessed.

Bad luck in life is partially circumstance, and partially choice. Like, you could say that this woman should have made sure to use protection/birth control, etc. and not ended up pregnant, especially with a guy who had just recently knocked up another girl. Also, if you have to get secretly married, that's about the worst start to a marriage ever.

But brain tumors, car accidents, drive-by shootings, and appendicitis can happen to anyone, even the best of people. I do feel bad for your friend, and if she's able to keep a positive, optimistic attitude after going through all that, well, that's pretty amazing.

That being said, I really can't stand people who bitch and moan about their horrible state in life when there are millions of people suffering through far greater things all the time. I'm no bleeding heart, but I think people need to suck it up and not be selfish. You earn most of your accomplishments, and shouldn't expect them to be handed out to you.

Thanks Phantom...I agree with you - maybe it didn't come across...but for each persons world, their problems are huge. No disputing the fact that thier are BIGGER problems in the world! Oh and totally...hard work = rewards!

Thanks for your comments -always cool! x

That is sooo sad! My daughter is 7 months pregnant and it would be devastating to find out the baby wasn't healthy.

I have a lot of bad luck too, mainly things I cannot control... but once in awhile there is a glimmer of hope on the horizon that shows me that maybe things will look better soon.

I do hope she and the baby get through this ok.

Woah, that is one helluva story, more like one of those hollywood movies than real life!

Luck is a funny thing ... your friend is one with bad luck. But my boyf (frustratingly for me!) is someone with excessive good luck. And I don't mean winning the Lotto kind of luck. It's the little things ... somehow he doesn't have to plan as much as everyone else to get what he wants to fall into place. This can be hugely maddening for me ... I wish it would just rub off ;)

I know Philly girl...they could create a soapie!

I must say I'd love to be Lotto Lucky :-)

Oh good luck with your daughters pregnancy!

I'm sure her husband will overcome this brain tumour. Her baby is fine, even after the appendix op!

Thanks Debbie!

WOAH. What a saga...

I do think some people just kind of 'attract' disaster. I was a fan of the concept of that Secret book too (not the book itself, but the concept of positive attraction.)

Sounds like this girl deserves a copy.
